Stirlingshire Constabulary was formed in 1850. It was re-named Stirlingshire Police Force in 1938 when it was amalgamated with Stirling Burgh Police. It was abolished in 1949 and succeeded by Stirling and Clackmannan Police Force.

The original church at Killin was dedicated to St Fillan. The parish was united with Ardeonaig in 1617 and was in the Presbytery of Weem. The parish of Strathfillan was disjoined in 1882. After the union of the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland Killin was officially known as Killin St Fillan's to distinguish it from the former UF Church Killin Breadalbane. The two were united in 1931 as Killin Church and the St Fillan's church building retained in use. Killin was transferred form the Presbytery of Stirling and Dunblane to the Presbytery of Dunkeld in 1945.

Killin Kirk Session was created in 1931 on the union of Killin St Fillan's and Killin Breadalbane. It was in the Presbytery of Stirling and Dunblane but was transferred to Dunkeld in 1945. In 1957 it was linked to Ardeonaig and in 1967 the two charges were united.
