Administrative history
The earliest reference to Lecropt School is found within the Lecropt Kirk Session minutes in 1727 when a proposal was made for building a school house. This was replaced in the 1820’s. Lecropt Primary School closed in 1985.
Archival history
The records of Lecropt Primary School were transferred to the Central Regional Council Archives by Perth County Council after the local government reorganisation of 1975. They have been held at the Archives since that date.
